The dispute of this study is between US company, Monsanto.Co which generates genetically engineered canola and Saskatchewan farmers. Monsanto. Co owns the patent on a Roundup resistant canola crop and they have accused Saskatchewan farmers for illegally growing last year canola crop. The company is taking advantage on the three year agreement signed by the farmers to force them to keep on buying the canola crop.
