6.1.2.1 Sub-region: Eastern Europe
Eastern Europe consisted of the following ten countries namely, Belarus, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia and Ukraine. Malaysia exported 49% of the total raw materials to this sub-region to Poland. Export to Moldova stood at about 26% and the Czech Republic at 14%. The Russian Federation imported about 9% while the other countries’ imports were less than 5% of the total raw materials. Table 175 and Figure 228 showed the quantities and percentages of the export.
Poland and Moldova imported some other plants and parts of plants primarily used in the perfumery and other industries and some garlic respectively, whilst the other countries of destinations imported small amounts of the raw materials.
